Casual Elf Deck

Yikes! Been over a year since I last posted. Anyway Today I picked up the Freyalise commander deck and that inspired me to create a casual elf deck with her in it. The only rules I gave myself was every card had to be related to elves some how and I could only use cards I already owned, no going out and buying cards for it. So lets go take a look.

Lands
20 x Forrest

Creatures
4 x Llanowar Elves
4 x Elvish Pioneer
1 x Priest of Titania
3 x Wellwisher
1 x Elvish Archdruid
1 x Ezuri, Renegade Leader
1 x Elvish Champion
1 x Imperious Perfect
2 x Reclamation Sage
2 x Elvish Ranger
2 x Timberwatch Elf
1 x Immaculate Magistrate
2 x Shaman of Spring
1 x Drove of Elves
1 x Heedless One

Spells
2 x Ranger's Guile
2 x Wirewood Pride
2 x Aspect of Hydra
2 x Naturalize
2 x Elvish Guidance
1 x Bramblecrush
1 X Desert Twister
1 x Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury

I decided to go old school with Llanowar elf over elvish msystic cause I miss Llanowar. Then for my second one drop I went with Elvish Pioneer for some variety instead of putting the mystics there. Most of the rest of the cards it is pretty obvious what they do, count up the number of elves in play and gain life, add mana, pump a creature etc.

I did sorta break my rule of every card had to be related to elves. The aspect of hydras are in there only because I had 2 wirewood prides and they provide a similar effect. The naturalize, ranger's guile, bramblecrush you could say they are just nature magic and therefor elvish. Desert Twister, yeah there is no way to spin that. I just needed an answer to plainswalkers.

Changes I would make to the deck if I went out and bought singles for it would be to get more Archdruids, Imperious Perfect, and Immaculate Magistrates. I'd probably replace the TImberwatch with the extra Magistrates, the champion with another Perfect, and probably get rid of the pioneers for archdruids and priest of titanias. I'd also get another Freyalise or two.

Sometimes it is just fun to go out and make a flavorful deck to mess around with. And any starting players out there, tribal decks are a great way to see synergy between cards in addition to just throwing your best cards into one deck.
